How about this, a wallet that we don't know (somewhere in the Bahamas) has taken a massive short position on ETH, the whole time they convert to RenBTC that short position is going UP in value, and after they've converted all the eth to ren btc, they close the ETH short, short RenBTC then start dumping. They've just "cleaned" all of the money and they don't ever have to use the "stolen" wallet again.
